Dear brothers and sisters in Christ at St Andreas,
greetings on behalf of the congregation of St Helen’s, North Kensington. Our love to you at this time of celebration of the 50 years of your new building. As you remember both the horror of war, and the repentance and rebuilding that has been its legacy, we will remember with you and rejoice with you. Our God is faithful, and he is sufficient!
And as Europe is again called to respond to the displacement and turmoil caused by war, we and the nations of the world are grateful to the German people for the welcome that they are extending to refugees and migrants. May our God strengthen you to continue to offer practical love and help in his name; and to hold out the gospel of grace both to the many Germans who don’t yet put their faith in Him and to the migrants who may never have heard before.
‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’ Romans 15:13
Love in Christ,
Pastor, St Helen’s Church, North Kensington, London.
